Child Health Nursing

Faculty of Child Health Nursing plans and carries out class room lectures, seminars, clinical practices and other educational activities that aim at ; the understanding of the developmental process of the child, the development of abilities to identify health problems, responses of child and family to the health problem in developmental process and the abilities to integrate approaches to solve those problems.

Undergraduate Program


>> Pediatric Nursing I
This course focuses on the beliefs of pediatric nursing, the process and characteristics of child development, and the nursing principles for promoting the health of children.

>> Pediatric Nursing II
This course focuses on the physiologic alterations that affect health of children, and the nursing processes for promoting health and managing illness of children and their families.

>> Pediatric Nursing Practice I
This clinical practice focuses on the development of the ability to assess specific nursing needs of infants and children at various developmental stages, and on the promotion of the competency in specific skills of nursing intervention in various child care settings.

>> Pediatric Nursing Practice II
This clinical practice focuses on the nursing strategies and the therapeutic relationships for promoting health of handicapped children and their families.

Graduate Program


Master's Level

>>Advanced Child Health Nursing I
Analysis and discussion of nursing issues of neonatal nursing are reviewed. Nursing issues related to health maintenance, promotion, and restoration of children are explored.

>>Advanced Child Health Nursing II
Analysis and discussion of nursing issues of child health nursing are reviewed. Nursing issues related to health maintenance, promotion, and restoration of children are explored.

>>Seminar in Child Health Nursing Issues
Analysis and discussion of theories and practice of child health nursing are reviewed and appropriate approaches to nursing research related to the child health are identified.
