Nursing Management

Nursing Management studies the value, ideology, purpose and role of current nursing through understanding the historical and philosophical concept of nursing. And it teaches knowledge of management theory and process. So it develop traits for us to work as nursing professors. Applying the theory of administration in real nursing practice field, it develops managerial skills and attitudes as a nursing manager. Clarifying natures and standards to establish and develop professional nursing, it enhances self-control and status of professional nursing.

Undergraduate Program


>>Introduction to Nursing
A study of understanding of historical, social and cultural aspects of development of nursing, and an understanding of concepts basic to nursing's theoretical framework.

>>Nursing Ethics
This course focuses on the ethics in nursing, the historical and cultural aspects of development of nursing, the basic concepts to nursing's theoretical framework, and the philosophy of nursing. In addition, it includes the identification of ethical and legal issues and the ensuing dilemmas relevant to the professional of nursing and nurses.

>>Nursing Management
This course focuses on the theory of management as a component of the professional nursing role and development of the managerial skills in various health care settings.

>>Nursing Management Practice
This course applies on practice of management techniques as a component of the professional nursing role and development of managerial skills in various health care settings.

>>Nursing Informatics & Lab
This course is intended to prepare nurses with the skills and knowledge to apply and manage information in nursing, as the use of computers in health care becomes increasingly important, and discusses approaches to creating interated networks to support the health care continuum.

>>Nursing Professionalism
This course reviews the cultural and ethical characteristics and standards that affect professionalism for the establishment and development of professional nursing.

Graduate Program


>>Advanced Nursing Management
Comprehensive analysis of concepts required for effective performance of the nurse executive's role in organizations. Management as a function of the total organizational system is evaluated. Organizational designs and interpersonal relationships in the healthcare organization are critiqued.

>>Seminar in Nursing Management
Concepts and theories of nursing management are reviewed, component of nursing leadership and factors influencing the leadership are identified, and the strategies and the system effective to develop management skills and leadership ability are discussed.

>>Nursing Research
>>Organizational Management in Nursing
The course comprehensively examines organizational systems, drawing upon theory and research related to assessing the behavior of organizations.

>>Nursing Informatics & research
The basic concepts of science and technologies of information management and the feasibility of its application to nursing care system are reviewed, and the methods and procedures of computerized information processing of the activities of nursing are practiced.
