Maternity Nursing

Faculty of Maternity and Women's Health Nursing plans and carries out class room lectures, seminars, clinical practices and other educational activities that aims at ; understanding health needs and problems relevant to the process of pregnancy, delivery, post-partum and women in various life-cycle, and assessing and intervening of their nursing needs for women in life cycle and women in processes of pregnancy, delivery and post-partum.

Undergraduate Program


> Maternity Nursing I
This course focuses on the theory related to the maternal health to promote the health of childbearing women and their families in normal reproductive cycles.

>> Maternity Nursing II
This course focuses on the theory related to the maternal and women's health to enable students to assess and manage the health needs of childbearing women and their families at risk, including women with reproductive health problems.

>> Maternity Nursing Practice I
This clinical practice focuses on the development of the competencies for assessing and intervening the specific nursing needs of childbearing women and their families.

>> Maternity Nursing Practice II
This clinical practice focuses on the development of the competencies for assessing and intervening the specific nursing needs of women with the health problems of the reproductive system, and their families.

Graduate Program


Master's Level

>> Advanced Maternity Nursing Ⅰ
This course reviews the current health issues and research trends in gynecological aspects of women's health. In addition, this course provides graduate students with opportunities of the clinical practicum for fostering the nursing assessment abilities relevant to some gynecologic health problems.

>> Advanced Maternity Nursing Ⅱ
This course reviews the current health issues and research trends in maternal health. In addition, this course provides graduate students with opportunities of the clinical practicum for fostering the nursing implementation abilities relevant to some maternal health issues.

Doctoral Level

>> Seminar in Women's Health Issues
This course reviews and analyses the current women’s health issues in a feministic view. The focus is on learning an integrated approach to understanding and studying women's health issues.
